Join us for worship this Sunday! Here's what's happening...

Today we'll resume our study of the book of Genesis. In this study, we've seen how God's plan for the redemption of his people through the sacrifice of his Son Jesus, was in motion even way back in the earliest stages of his relationship with us. Long before Jesus is even mentioned in Scripture, God's plan to save us from sin and to bring us to himself is clear. That's why this sermon series is called "Roots of Our Redemption."

This week Pastor Josh will preach from Genesis 17. Take a few minutes to read this chapter before Sunday. And don't forget to pray for our time together, and for Pastor Josh as he prepares his message.

Our worship services also include lots of singing, prayer, the reading of Scripture, as well as time to get to know each other over coffee and snacks.

We'll also celebrate the Lord's Supper together. As we eat the bread and drink the juice, these symbols of Jesus' broken body and shed blood remind us of his great love for us, and of the assurance of our forgiveness.

We're in a sermon series on the book of Genesis entitled "Roots of Our Redemption." It's been amazing to see how, even way back in the beginning of God's relationship with his people, he was already showing them his deep love for them and his plan to redeem them from sin and death.

We've been spending the last few weeks getting to know Abram and Sarai, an elderly couple to whom God has promised children, but have yet to see that promise fulfilled. Sometimes they are faithful and trusting, and sometimes they have trouble believing that what God has said will come true. This week we see an example of the latter...

Pastor Josh will preach the word to us. Pray for him as he studies and prepares this week.

Sermon: TBA

Scripture text: Genesis 16

As is our habit, we'll also sing worship songs together, pray together, hear Scripture read aloud together, and hang out together after the service over coffee and snacks.

We're continuing in our sermon series on the book of Genesis. Pastor Josh will be preaching the word to us from Genesis 14. Pray for him as he prepares what he will say. Also, spend some time reading this chapter and see what God might want to teach you from his word.

We will also celebrate the Lord's Supper together.

Join us for worship on Sunday! Here's what's happening...

We're continuing with our series on the book of Genesis entitled "Roots of Our Redemption." That title comes from the fact that the overarching theme of the Bible, even early in the Old Testament, is God's plan to save us from our sin by sending his Son Jesus Christ into the world to die for us. It's amazing to see that plan unfolding, even in the earliest stages of God's relationship with his people.

This week Pastor Josh will be preaching God's word to us from Genesis 13. Pray for him as he studies and prepares the message this week.

Our worship services also include:

  • singing songs of praise (both traditional hymns and contemporary worship songs);
  • several times of corporate prayer (praise, confession/acceptance of forgiveness, thanksgiving, intercession);
  • hearing Scripture read aloud, that we might be encouraged, challenged and strengthened in our faith;
  • time to get to know each other a little better over coffee and snacks.

Join us for worship this Sunday! Here's what's happening...

This week we start a new sermon series... actually, we're re-starting a series that we started last year! The series is called "Genesis: Roots of Our Redemption." It's all about how even way back in the beginning, God was planning to redeem his children by sending his Son Jesus Christ to die for us. As we study the stories and characters in the book of Genesis, we see over and over again God's love and faithfulness to us, despite our stubborn rebellion toward him.

This Sunday Pastor Josh will pick up where we left off last spring, in Genesis chapter 12. Take a few minutes before Sunday to familiarize yourself with this account of Abram and Sarai in Egypt.

As always, our worship service will also include lots of singing, several times of corporate prayer, hearing Scripture read aloud, and time to get to know each other over coffee and snacks.

We're in Week 2 of our sermon series on the Old Testament book of Proverbs, entitled "Choose Wisely."

How could a book written thousands of years ago still offer such relevant and timely wisdom for our life today? Because it comes from God's word-- and God never changes. His character, His justice, and His love for us, are just as strong as they were at the beginning of the universe, and His .

Not only that, but human nature is the same as it has always been. Fashions change, technology changes, but the things that move us and motivate us as humans don't change-- fear, anger, lust, revenge, joy, grief, anxiety, jealousy-- they have always been, and will always be, part of being human.

Pastor Josh will preach the word to us this Sunday.
