Community Groups have taken a break for the summer, but there's still opportunity for some good teaching, discussion and fellowship... the Summer Seminar Series!
This course is based on the video series "Global Gospel in a World of Religions," and also comes with a workbook for each participant. Each week we'll focus on a different world religion or philosophy. We'll learn about its basic tenets and beliefs, its writings and scriptures, and how it differs from the Christian faith.
Each Wednesday evening for 8 weeks we'll meet at the church from 7:00 to 8:30. There will be a short video, followed by discussion and prayer.
This promises to be a very helpful, very practical time for anyone who has ever struggled to interact with or respond to someone with a worldview or philosophy other than Christianity.
With this seminar series, we hope to equip ourselves:
- to be able to address objections to the Christian faith and to the Bible;
- to be able converse respectfully and intelligently with people who do not share our faith;
- to be able to raise thought-provoking questions to our non-believing friends, to get them to ponder the reasons for why they believe the way they do.
Hope you'll plan to join us!
