We're continuing with our sermon series entitled "Teach Us To Pray." This was the request Jesus' disciples made in Luke 11. Each week of this series, we have been looking at a different passage of Scripture and exploring together how it might change our prayer lives.

This week Pastor Josh will preach the word to us.

Sermon title: "Prayer of Praise"

Scripture passage: Psalms 103, 145, 150; 1 Samuel 2:1-10; Habakkuk 3

Our worship services also include lots of singing (both traditional hymns and contemporary worship songs); times of corporate prayer; hearing Scripture read aloud; and time to hang out and get to know each other better.

Hope to see you Sunday!

This Sunday is Stewardship Sunday!

We'll take a break from our fall sermon series on prayer, and we'll focus on a different topic: money! We'll think, learn and pray about how each of us can manage the financial resources God has entrusted to us, and how we as a church might collectively manage our finances.

Pastor Josh will preach the word to us.

Sermon: "Gen•er•ous"

Scripture passage: 2 Corinthians 9:6-15

How can we grow as generous people? This Sunday is our annual "Stewardship Sunday," which coincides with the beginning of our new fiscal year. This is the primary time in the year when we hear from God's word about giving. We'll take a break from our prayer series this week and delve into 2 Corinthians 9 with the goal of learning generosity and worshiping the source and pinnacle of all generosity in our Lord Jesus Christ!

Of course, our worship service will also include the singing of worship songs, several times of corporate prayer, hearing Scripture read aloud, sharing Communion together, and some "get-to-know-you" time.

Hope to see you Sunday!

This week Pastor Josh will preach the word to us.

Sermon: The Difficulty of Prayer: Why is Prayer so Hard?

Scripture Passage: Mark 14:32-42

We'll also sing worship songs together, pray together as a church family, hear Scripture read aloud, and have some "get-to-know-you" time (see below).

Our fall sermon series starts today! It's called "Teach Us to Pray," and it's all about-- wait for it-- prayer! Every week we'll look at a different Scripture passage on the topic of prayer, and see what we might learn from it in order to become better pray-ers! We hope this will be a very practical study, with something specific each week that we can include in our prayer life, both privately and as a church community.

Pastor Josh will kick off the series this Sunday.

Sermon: "The Necessity of Prayer: (Almost) Everyone Prays"

Scripture Passage: Acts 17:16-34

Our worship services also include lots of worship songs, several times of prayer, hearing Scripture read aloud, and some social time to get to know each other a little better.

Join us for worship this Sunday! Here's what's happening...

We are in the penultimate week of our summer sermon series on the New Testament book of Philippians, a letter written by the Apostle Paul, from prison, to one of his beloved churches. The series is called "Forward," because the book is all about encouraging us to move forward in all aspects of our faith.

Pastor Josh will preach the word to us this morning. He says this: "You might look at the news and wonder if our world isn't "going to hell in a hand basket," so to speak. But God's word for us this Sunday is that we should rejoice in the Lord always - no matter what circumstances come our way! How do we experience this kind of durable joy? That's what this Sunday is all about."

Sermon: "Forward in Joy"

Scripture passage: Philippians 4:4-9

As always, our service will also include singing lots of worship songs, times of corporate prayer, hearing Scripture read aloud, and time to hang out and get to know each other a little better.

We're in Week 9 of our summer sermon series: "Forward: A Journey through Philippians."

This week James Marohn will be preaching the word to us.

The gist of this week's Scripture passage (Philippians 3:1-11) is that there isn't anything we could pursue, accomplish or wish for ourselves in this life that is more significant or valuable than knowing Christ. We will also look at what that means: to know Christ. I hope you'll be challenged and encouraged as a result of the time we spend looking at these verses!

Sermon: "Forward in Knowing Christ"

Scripture passage: Philippians 3:1-11

As always, our time together will also include lots of singing, prayer, hearing Scripture read aloud, and time to get to know each other (and snacks!).

We'll continue in our sermon series called "Forward: A Journey through Philippians."

This week's passage is Philippians 1:27-30. It says,

"Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved—and that by God. For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him, since you are going through the same struggle you saw I had, and now hear that I still have."

Let's look at this and try to understand it together!

We'll also celebrate Communion together.

And, as always, our worship service will include lots of singing, prayer, reading of Scripture, and time to hang out and get to know each other.
