Thank you for considering a visit to Ruggles Baptist Church. You probably would like to know what to expect, so we hope this page will help you. If you have any other questions or want to let us know that you are planning to come, please do not hesitate to email us at

How should I dress?

Most people dress casually (jeans) but some people wear slacks or a dress. Don’t spend too much time thinking about what you should wear. We are grateful to have you with us as we learn more about God through the his word, so wear whatever you would feel comfortable in to do that with us.

What is the worship style?

We strive for simplicity in our worship. Our service follows an informal liturgy along the gospel storyline, including a Call to Worship, Songs of Praise, Prayer of Confession/Assurance of Grace, Prayers of Thanksgiving and Intercession, and Sermon. Our style is generally informal, including a mix of traditional hymns and contemporary songs. Some people raise their hands as an expression of praise to God, while some people are more reserved.

What about my children?

Children are always welcome! We want to equip parents to be the main disciplers and spiritual influence in their children's lives. During our worship service, we provide a nursery for young children and a "Junior Bulletin" with activities and questions related to the sermon. These questions are helpful for parents, as well, to discuss with their children throughout the week.

How can I get to know people from the church?
