We desire to help our children and teens along the way on their journey of understanding what it means to live a life of faith in Jesus Christ. Our hope is that they are well prepared to face the challenges of living as a follower of Jesus Christ in today’s world. For more information about any of our programs for children, please email kids@rugglesbaptistchurch.org.

Sunday Worship (Sundays, 10am)

On Sundays, we have a nursery and Children’s Discipleship Hour available for young children (ages 0-Kindergarten), in which we use The Biggest Story Curriculum, a Christ-centered, chronological Bible curriculum. For older children, we provide a "Junior Bulletin" that connects with the theme of the worship service and includes questions for parents to discuss with their children after the service. We are happy to have our older kids join in the sanctuary for service and we provide children’s sermon note sheets and coloring pages at the Park Drive doors. Children are checked in to Children’s Discipleship Hour at the Park Drive doors. Ask a Greeter to direct you!

On the first Sunday of every month, we intentionally keep our children with us for the entirety of the worship service in what we call “Family Sundays.” Family Sunday serves as an opportunity for us as parents (and fellow church members) to train our children in the importance of gathering with the entire church body. We intentionally help them turn in their Bible, sing the songs, fill in the notes for the sermon, and serve while also showing them the joy in doing these things for the glory of God.

For the safety of our children, all nursery caregivers are required to undergo thorough national and state background checks annually. Volunteers serve in groups of two or more and are easily identified by their Ruggles t-shirts on Sunday mornings.

Moms Discussion Group and Playspace (1st/3rd Fridays, 10:30am)

Ruggles also hosts a free bimonthly Moms Group and playspace on the first and third Friday mornings of the month from 10:30am-11:30am during the school year (September 18, 2026-April 22, 2027), as a way to serve families in our community! Moms will enjoy coffee, tea, light snacks, and discussion while their children play in the same room. Moms will discuss Treasuring Christ When Your Hands Are Full this fall, but it is not required reading!

We provide fun toys, activities, and a lot of space for the kids to run around and play. If you would like more information, please email whitney@rugglesbaptistchurch.org, and please invite your friends to join you!

Our playspace is designed for preschoolers, but older siblings are always welcome!

*Please note that a parent or guardian must remain with their children.
