“Rejected, Yet Sent” (Mark 6:1-29)

Nobody likes to be rejected. Yet in our passage this Sunday we see Jesus Himself being dismissed by his friends and neighbors. Yet in the face of this rejection, he sends out his disciples to preach—whatever the response, whatever the cost.
