The Inauguration and the Test (Mark 1:9-13)

This Sunday we welcome Timothy Craig, elder at Redeemer Fellowship Church in Watertown to serve us with God's word. Timothy is from New Hampshire and earned degrees in art from both UNH and BU. He first trusted Christ in his late 20s. After joining an evangelism ministry in San Francisco, Timothy completed seminary and later ministered in Chile and Mexico, before returning to the U.S. in 2021 to serve at Redeemer. He has painted and sold paintings everywhere he goes, but is most passionate about pastoral ministry.

The Real Jesus (Matthew 21:1-17)

Jesus is the most influential person to ever live. And yet he is likely the most misunderstood, as well. People have claimed the name of Jesus to support all kinds of causes, movements, and theologies--often contradictory ones. The truth is, it is easy to make Jesus into our own image. The way to fight against this tendency is to see how Jesus reveals himself in his word. Our passage this Sunday shows us the paradoxical nature of Christ and his mission as Jesus is both a strong ruler and humble savior.
